15-Year-Old Saint James Teen Reported Missing After Traveling to Manhattan
SAINT JAMES, NY — Suffolk County police are searching for a 15-year-old boy from Saint James who has been reported missing after last being seen traveling from Long Island to Manhattan.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, Thomas Medlin, 15, left the Stony Brook School on Friday, Jan. 9, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Investigators say he ran to the Stony Brook Train Station shortly afterward. Police later confirmed that Medlin was last seen around 5:30 p.m. the same evening at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.
Medlin is described as white, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing about 130 pounds. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black jacket with red stripes, dark sweatpants with white stripes, glasses, and carrying a black backpack.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Thomas Medlin or has information about his whereabouts to contact Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452 or call 911 immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to locate the missing teen and ensure his safe return.
